Accommodations at Hulivana
We have 2 exclusive Villas & 10 Dome Tents only as we are located in a very remote & secluded part of the Western Ghats....
2 Villa's - On multiple sharing 5 to 6 pax can be accomodated in each Villa
10 Dome Tents - The tents are 3 men Dome Tent meant for 3 people but we give in on twin sharing only....
In tents we provide 4 inch thick mattress with white linen & pillows, sleeping bags & blankets will be provided.

No Roads to reach TIGER TRAILS HOMESTAY . There are no roads and hence your vehicle cannot reach TIGER TRAILS . We will organize 4x4 hi clearance jeeps to shuttle you from the parking ( last village ) to TIGER TRAILS.
You will have to reach the parking which is 32 km from Sakleshpur town. The parking is at Banalu which is the last village before the forest starts.
Vehicle Parking :
Park your vehicle inside a coffee planters compounded property and next to his doorstep ( safe )
Our jeeps will pick the guests from there and drop them at TIGER TRAILS. It is a proper 4x4 offroading drive, there is absolutely no road only a jeep track. The jeep has to negotiate rocks and boulders and it is a roller coaster bumpy ride. Parking to TIGER TRAILS it takes 45 mins.
Food :
The food is a large buffet spread ( unlimited ) than most resorts serve at Sakleshpur. It is live kitchen with dishes live on grill and tava on the counter.
Breakfast is continental and Malnad.
Lunch and dinner is traditional Malnad and South or North Indian cuisine.
July August September is peak monsoon , there can be torrential rains with no view from hill top and leeches in the paths
Do note that TIGER TRAILS retreat is located on an undulating terrain with the Villas on a higher elevation & the tents on a lower elevation at a littledistance away & hence basic & physical fitness is required for guests who are interested in staying at TIGER TRAILS.
The Villa's are located on the slope of the hills at height more than 3000ft with big french windows & ample ventilation, with a pleasant breezealways blowing in hence even in peak summer
A/C is not required in our accommodations.
Are the Villa's moth free? No guarantees on that. We regularly fumigate our cottages with eco friendly pesticides but do remember, you are in their habitat and not the other way round. ( Just as how you would find moth's attracted to light bulbs in villages )
Though we do not offer luxury we still provide you with a comfortable stay in the wild.Electricity is erratic , we provide kerosine lanterns, however our generators are available at night between 7 pm to 10.30 pm.*
